Los Angeles County Superintendent Student Advisory Council. - Due Soon

Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools Debra Duardo is inviting students to apply for the 2022-23 Superintendent Student Advisory Council. The Superintendent Student Advisory Council was formed to bring students' views into conversations and decision-making about public education. We are looking for a diverse representation of student voices to ensure we hear from students of all achievement levels, especially those with real-world experiences who want to see a positive change in education.

The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council will include students from public high schools throughout Los Angeles County. They will engage in dialogue with Superintendent Duardo on educational equity, the quality of public education, student wellbeing and other topics of concern, advising her on key issues facing youth.

Students are currently being recruited to apply to serve on the advisory council. The group will meet virtually on a quarterly basis beginning Fall 2022 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Interested students will need to complete an application. They will also be required to submit a parent legal/guardian consent form to participate.
