                                 Pasadena Unified’s Altadena Elementary Hosts Celebration Of New Construction May 16

Pasadena, CA – Altadena Elementary School students, families, teachers, staff, and community members will celebrate a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration of the school’s new classrooms and buildings on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 5 p.m.

The May 16 celebration will include musical performances, art displays, and campus tours.

Altadena Elementary School serves 275 pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade students.  Altadena Elementary School will be home to the Pasadena Unified School District’s (PUSD) French Dual Language Immersion program starting Fall 2017.

The $8.1 million project includes modernization of three school buildings, construction of a new entrance, and painting.

Construction of the sports complex was funded by Measure TT, the $350 million school bond initiative approved by voters in 2008. More information on Measure TT can be found at www.measurett.org.

The project was designed by PBWS Architects with Chalmers Construction Services, Inc. as the general contractor.
