Hundreds of young musicians from Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) middle and high schools will perform traditional and contemporary band and orchestral music at the annual 2019 All-District Instrumental Music Festivals on February 6 and 7. Middle school student musicians perform February 6 and high school students perform on February 7. Both concerts begin at 7 p.m. and are held at Pasadena High School, 2925 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Pasadena. Admission is free

Participation in festivals is is geared toward students who play or perform at an intermediate level or higher. Students musicians from each school are invited to perform together.
Held annually to showcase the talents of young PUSD musicians, the All-District Music Festivals provide valuable performance experience for middle and high school music students.
Orchestra, band, jazz band, and choral electives are offered at PUSD middle and high schools. Instrumental music instruction by PUSD music teachers begins in third grade, with whole-class instruction in violin and band and orchestra options for fourth and fifth grades.
