Pasadena has a Posse Scholar!
Congratulations to Zoe Sanchez '24 on her selection as a Posse Scholar. The Posse Foundation identifies, recruits and trains individuals with extraordinary leadership potential. Posse Scholars receive full-tuition leadership scholarships from Posse's partner colleges and universities. We are so very proud of Zoe!
My name is Zoë Sanchez and I will be attending Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana on a Posse Scholarship. My major will be Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurial Business and Design. I dream of studying abroad in Milan, Italy to study fashion, retail, and design innovation. I want to pursue a career in the fashion industry, ultimately having my own clothing line.
I have been involved in Cal State LA’s TRIO Upward Bound Program since my freshman year. Here I have learned valuable academic and personal skills which I will take with me to Tulane. Currently, I am the President of the PHS Fashion Club, LEO Club, and the Vice President of the Business Club on campus. I was also a 3-year member of the PHS Soccer Team. During my Sophomore year, I received first place in the Pasadena MLK Art Coalition and was awarded a $300 scholarship. I have also been involved in a local organization called Hood Liberation. During my time with them, I worked to support other small businesses and promoted community engagement in the Pasadena area.
Outside of school, I have interned with various fashion designers in Los Angeles. As an intern, I was tasked with preparing the changing rooms and assisting photographers with photo shoot production. Recently, I have enrolled at FCI Fashion School where I get hands-on experience with showroom executives and traveling opportunities for fashion events. I am excited to see where life takes me as I pursue my passion for fashion.
I am proud to be a part of the student body at Pasadena High School as my experience here has taught me I truly have the power to make my dreams come true. Go Bulldogs!
