We have a Rose Princess!

T of RCongratulations to Pasadena High School student Abigail Griffith. On Monday, October 4th  the Tournament of Roses announced the names of the seven members of the 2022 Royal Court and Abigail is one of two Pasadena Unified School District students on the 2022 Royal Court. The Royal Court and the Rose Parade are part of an iconic tradition within the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and the City of Pasadena.
 
Applicants from 24 Pasadena area schools participated in the interview process, and volunteer members of the Tournament of Roses' Queen and Court Committee selected the Royal Court based on several criteria, including public speaking ability, academic achievement, youth leadership and community/school involvement.
 
Abigail has been at Pasadena High School since she entered the 9th grade. She is currently a Varsity member of our Orchesis Dance Team, a High School Worship Leader at Lake Avenue Church Pasadena, Student Intern at the Gamble House Pasadena, Cashier at Brick and Flour Pasadena, member of the Class of 2022 Club and Social Media Manager of our Mental Health Awareness Club. Her hobbies and interests include sewing, origami, singing, graphic design, architecture, architectural history/preservation, drawing, painting, and studying Hispanic/Latin American culture. Abigail plans to study architecture and aspires to be a licensed architect. She is interested in attending USC, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Northeastern or Rice University.
