Pasadena High School Model A Ford Club
The Pasadena High School Model A Ford Club (PHSMAC) is dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of Ford vehicles manufactured between 1928-1931. Pasadena High School is the first high school club of this type anywhere in the nation, part of the largest club in the world dedicated to one make of automobile.
When school stopped in March 2020 the students were in the process of restoring a 1929 Model A Ford Fordor Sedan for a spring 2020 raffle drawing. The raffle drawing is the club's only source of income.
You can purchase a raffle ticket for your opportunity to own this wonderful Model A Ford. For each $100 contribution, a donor receives one raffle entry. Send your tax deductible donations to: PHSMAFC, 1968 Lake Ave., Suite 101, Altadena CA 91001. Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope, along with your phone number and email address. Your entry will be returned by mail to you. We also accept debit or credit cards by calling (626) 375-1367. Winners need not be present. Date of drawing TBD.
In our four-year history, the majority of our students have been females, who typically outperform their male counterparts. Students receive no academic credit and attend club meetings after school hours. While competing with other extracurricular activities, the Model A Club continues to be one of the most popular on campus. Students develop a unique sense of belonging - while gaining a working knowledge of the Model A engine, transmission, upholstery, body preparation, and painting.
We are very thankful for the following Pasadena companies and individuals for the assistance they have given our students with this project: Caliber Collision, Pasadena City College, Safelite Auto Glass, Sardo's Upholstery, Jeffrey Miller and Dr. Wilbert Smith.
The club is sponsored by the Pasadena area Santa Anita A's Model A Ford Club. The club is comprised of over 127 families who own more than 100 Model A Ford cars.
We also welcome any donation of Model A vehicles in reasonable, restorable condition. Contact us at email@example.com
