AP Exam Registration
Pasadena High School students will receive their AP registration information the week of January 7th from one of your AP teachers. Included in the packet will be a Student/Parent letter. If you will be taking one or more AP exams in May 2019 you will need to complete the AP Registration Form. In addition, you and your parents will need to read and sign the AP Security Exam Agreement which is included with the registration form. You can begin to register and pay for your AP exams beginning Wednesday, January 3oth before school, during lunch or after school at the Records Office Windows. You will need to register and pay for all AP exams no later than Wednesday, February 20th.

If you are receiving free or reduced price meal benefits you will need to provide a copy of your reduced price meal approval letter when you register /pay for your exams. If you do not participate in the reduced price meal program but you meet the criteria for a fee reduction you will need to fill out the Fee Reduction Form. Please read these forms thoroughly and follow all the instructions. You will need to have your fee reduction approved/signed off by Mr. Randyl Barrozo in room A 111 during lunch ONLY beginning Monday, January 28th and no later than Friday, February 1st.
If you are approved for a fee reduction the price is $5.00 for each AP exam. If you do not qualify for a fee reduction the price per AP exam is $94. The cost for students who do not attend PHS is $125 per exam and non PHS students may register if space is available. We will be unable to offer the AP Chinese Language and Culture or Spanish Language and Culture exams to non PHS students. Payment for non-PHS students is CASH only. Once students register and pay for their AP Exams there are NO refunds.
The list of students and which exams they have registered for will be posted outside the Records Office windows beginning Monday, March 4th through Friday, March 8th. If you registered for one or more AP exams it is your responsibility to check the list to ensure that you are registered for the correct exam(s). If you find an error you must see Liz Champion in the Records Office no later than 3:15 pm on Friday, March 8th. If you do not contact us with any changes we will assume that what is posted is accurate.
Please plan ahead and mark your calendar for all your AP exams. PHS is not planning on administering any late AP exams.
Advanced Placement Pre-Administration Workshops
If you signed up for an AP exam you must attend an AP Pre-Administration Workshop. NO exceptions. This is not optional. All PHS students must attend a pre-administration workshop in the Student Cafeteria according to the following schedule. Schedule is by last name. Note the times and please make arrangements to be on time to your workshop. If you do not attend PHS a workshop date and time will be discussed when you register/pay for your AP exam(s).

- Monday, April 15th 9:15 am Last names J - M
- Tuesday, April 16th 7:30 am Last names N - Se
- Wednesday, April 17th 7:30 am Last names Sh - Z

If you are taking the AP Spanish Language or AP Chinese Language exam you will also need to attend a Workshop to ensure you are familiar with using the recording/computer devices prior to exam day. The workshop dates/times are TBD and will be announced in the Weekly Bulletin and through your AP teacher.
