Congrats Chloe Daválos For 1st Place in Parade Of Roses

Rosebud winner Each year the Tournament of Roses sponsors the Parade of Roses art competition for students grades 4-8 in PUSD. Students paint and decorate a vase in the theme of this year's Tournament of Roses. This year's theme is, "The Power of Hope."

All school winners attended a ceremony at Paseo Colorado on Sat. Nov. 16, and Blair's own Chloe Dávalos took 1st place in the middle school division! Chloe joins a long tradition of Blair doing well in this competition!

Each school chose a winner based on his or her design for a rosebud in a vase, and the school winner went on to decorate a 12" fiberglass rose in a bud vase.

The event announcing the winners was featured in Pasadena Now. See the Pasadena Now article for more details.

Way to go, Chloe!

Thank you also to our Blair art instructor, Ms. Vilma Martinez, for her neverending support of her students.
