All Blair 6th through 10th graders are in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme. During grades 6-9, students complete grade level projects, but in 10th grade they take on extended individual projects of their own choosing.
This year's projects include an investigation/introduction to fandom, a book blog about the representation of diversity in YA books, an EP with cover art, building a computer from scratch, making a chess set, creating a video game.
Come hear students share about their projects, and learn about IB approaches to learning! The Showcase Event will also include award presentations and refreshments.

Completing the 10th grade Personal Project is not only the culminating project for students' experience in the Middle Years Programme, but helps prepare students for the IB Diploma Programme's Extended Essay. The Extended Essay is a 4,000 word original research paper, also on a topic selected by the student.
