Covid 19 Updates

Instruction for 7th graders for 10 days:
Unvaccinated students: Quarantine starting on August 19, 2021. If students test negative for COVID on or after August
23 (Day 5 past exposure) AND have no symptoms, students can return to school on August 25 (Day 7 past exposure). If
unvaccinated students do not test, they must complete the required full 10-day quarantine and they can return to school on
August 30, 2021, if they have no symptoms. See Home Quarantine Guidance

Vaccinated students: Students who are fully-vaccinated (received their second dose of a two-dose series before August
4, 2021, or received their first dose of a one-dose series before August 4, 2021) are not required to quarantine; however,
they are strongly recommended to test 3-5 days post-exposure, August 21 -23. To enter the campus, vaccinated 7th-grade
students must arrive at the campus at 9:00 am, entering the campus from Allen Ave., and show proof of vaccination at the
entrance.
Testing will be available for all seventh-grade students at a drive-through clinic at the PUSD Education Center (351 S.
Hudson Ave., Pasadena) on August, 23, 2021, from 8:00am - 3:45pm. To register for COVID-19 testing, please use this
link: https://home.color.com/covid/sign-up/start?partner=cdph094 Identification is required to check-in. Informed consent
from parents/guardians will be collected through the electronic registration process. If your student has tested with PUSD
before, they will not have to register again. Results will be received within 24-48 hours. Other testing resources include:
personal healthcare providers, Pasadena CHAP Care Clinic at 1595 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91104
(https://lhi.care/covidtesting), or Community Testing Sites: covid19.lacounty.gov/testing. Individuals who need assistance
in finding a medical provider can call the Los Angeles County Information line 2-1-1, which is available 24/7.
During quarantine, your student will transition to distance learning. Your child should log in and attend distance learning
classes via the Canvas platform on their devices.
The entire campus has been cleaned and sanitized, all high-touch surfaces have had a deep cleaning, and all classrooms
have been fogged with disinfectant.
