I trust that you had a wonderful and restful break with family and friends this summer and that you are ready to return to Wilson refreshed for the school year ahead. It goes without saying that it has truly been an honor to serve at Wilson for the last 17 years and as I embark on my 18th school year; I am excited and humbled to serve as the Interim Principal for Wilson as Mr. Douglas is on a leave of absence. I am excited to announce the return of Mr. Ernesto Vazquez to Wilson Middle, as he will be joining our team as the Interim Assistant Principal. Mr. Vazquez previously served as the Assistant Principal at Wilson (2001-2008) and most recently this past school year was the Assistant Principal at Blair Middle School. He comes with a wealth of knowledge, a dedication to students and a welcomed energy that will only add to our team. The importance and diligence of our work that focuses on our students remains at the forefront of our mission at Wilson. We will continue to foster positive relationships with our students, provide rigorous and focused instruction in the classroom, while creating a sense of community that we have grown to cherish at our beloved school. We have grown together over the last year and will continue to make strides towards excellence in all endeavors this school year. We would encourage you to find new ways to get involved in our community that promotes a positive environment for all that are connected to our school. Your expertise, ideas and contributions will only strengthen our school and take our existing community to new heights.
