Principal’s Welcome Message

It is an honor to join this beautiful community of Jackson! I welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year!  I hope you all had an amazing summer and that you return energized and ready for another exciting year of learning.  If you are new to Jackson, I’d like to welcome you to our school community.  The vibrant campus, talented staff, and bright students make this school a place where curiosity and learning abounds. 

As a magnet elementary school with a STEAM focus and a Spanish Dual Language Immersion option, Jackson Magnet offers a uniquely blended instructional program. Our Teachers and staff here at Jackson Magnet will support the whole child by empowering students to reach their full potential and strive for academic excellence and exemplary citizenship. 

We are also excited to share that this year that we will have a full time Physical Education Teacher, a half time Art and Music Teacher and an English Learner Instructional Coach. We will also continue to have our Response to Intervention/Guidance teacher.  These positions are intended to support our students who need additional academic support and to help us strengthen our Social Emotional Learning. We know that all our students will benefit from these additional resources.

Finally, we would like to remind you that the first day of school is August 14th. I am excited to meet you all. Please take some time to look through our Family Handbook as it includes a lot of useful information.
