Washington Elementary brought home three wins from the annual PUSD Science Innovation Exposition held on May 12, 2017. Perla Nava won first place in the 3D Printing challenge. Nick Morris came in 2nd for his project in the Jr. Invention category. Hali Williams, Otoniel Lopez, Paulina De Santiago, David Resendiz, Luis Tobar, Cesar Castelo and Ariana Soto took third place in the Jr. Reverse Engineering category. We congratulate all students that participated and teachers who worked tirelessly to make this happen.
On May 2nd our students had the opportunity to demonstrate Washington Elementary innovative programs at Pasadena’s City Hall. Community members in attendance were astonished by the talent displayed by our third and fifth grade students with building a computer from scratch. This activity requires attention to detail and thorough knowledge of each computer part. The next step for our students is to experiment and learn to use software that creates virtual experiences.
We know that you have many choices in selecting the best education for your child and we thank you for making PUSD your first choice.
