The Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) in the Pasadena Schools have helped to make each school site unique. Each PTA has been able to bring the Parents and Teachers together to provide support for the schools, through fundraising, community events and volunteers.
At Wilson, our PTA is focused on building a strong Parent Community. Each of our meetings will have a speaker focused on topics which are important to our Parents and will help them to prepare their kids for the future. Our meetings are the first Thursday of the month at 9am. Our meetings this year are September, October, November, January, March and April. Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings, though only members are allowed to vote. The PTA also sends the Wilson Weekly via email to keep Parents informed of upcoming activities at the school. The PTA is also working with Wilson to coordinate Parent Volunteers at the school.
The PTA sponsors the Monthly Coffee with the Principal the third Friday of each month. The Coffee is a great way to meet other Wilson Parents and stay current of what is happening at the school. The Coffee with the Principal has an informal structure. We meet in front of the school at drop-off. Even if you only have a few minutes, stop by and say hi.
Please consider joining the Wilson Middle School PTA. Having our Parents as members, sends a strong message to perspective families that Wilson parents support our school. Fees are only $10.00 to join. Membership envelopes are located in the office.
