About Merina Myklak
Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Merina Myklak
My name is Merina Myklak, and I am excited to join the Hamilton staff. I discovered my passion for teaching when I became a Jumpstart AmeriCorps member in college. I worked at a local preschool with the goal of preparing students for kindergarten, and I learned that I wanted to pursue a career in education. Since then, I’ve accumulated 12 years of teaching experience in Pasadena Unified School District as both a primary school teacher and a Coordinated Early Intervention Services (CEIS) teacher. I took the past couple years off in order to be a stay-at-home mom, and while I truly enjoyed that chapter in my life, I’m eager to resume my role as a classroom teacher.
I received a BA in English and World Literature from Pitzer College, and I also have an MA in Education from Claremont Graduate University. I have a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an English Single Subject Teaching Credential.
During my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, drinking lattes, and spending time with my husband and two children.
