Greetings. My name is Joycelyn Knight, and I teach 5th grade math and science at Hamilton Elementary. I am entering my 24th year here, and my 23rd year as one of the fifth grade teachers. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and obtained a Master’s Degree in Teaching Elementary Science from California State University, Los Angeles. I am married to Anthony, and have a fabulous daughter, Malika, and an extraordinary granddaughter, Elise who attended Hamilton for 6 years. I have two pet dogs, Gizzmo and Einstein(Chip). It is my love for teaching, learning, and children that keeps me rooted in and passionate about education. I am inspired to give my all to each child in a creative, fun, and engaging way. I look forward to another year of the “meeting of the minds” as we embark on 21st Century skills and learning.
