Welcome

  • One Team One Goal No Limits Welcome to a new school year! As One Team at Hamilton Elementary School, we will listen to, trust, respect and collaborate with students, staff, parents and members of our community in making every day count, emphasizing partnerships to support achievement in a safe and caring environment.  With One Goal in mind, together as a team, we will do everything possible to reach all learners as we see No Limits in a child’s ability to achieve success! Our partnership will ensure students develop responsibility, a positive self-concept and the social and academic skills necessary to provide for the future.

Students are expected to be in class, on time, every day. Their presence in the classroom will enable them to gain the knowledge they need. Hamilton’s first bell rings at 8:40 a.m., and instruction begins promptly at 8:45 a.m. every day. Each Monday, school finishes at 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday-Friday dismissal is at 3:10 p.m.

During the first week of school, the class will learn the routines and procedures for success in 4th grade.  We will also collaboratively set our rules and consequences. A letter concerning this information will be forthcoming next week.

Students have 40 Books and Beyond reading homework every night with other subjects assigned as needed. Each night, students will be expected to bring home their homework agenda with their assignments written inside of it and necessary materials. Some assignments will be due the next day while some may be due on a specific date. An adult is to check the agenda each night and sign it. Students will be held accountable for themselves and their daily learning and assignments. I will make notations in the agenda concerning work and behavior.  Homework will start next Monday, 8-22-16.

I value open communication between school and home and I am a strong believer that it positively and directly influences your child’s learning. I will keep you informed about events in the classroom, academic gains and/or struggles your child may have. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact me as soon as possible. What a team we can make, if we put our hearts and minds to it! I can be reached via a note in your child’s agenda, by a call at 626-396-5730 ext. 26229, or an email at webster.kristyn@pusd.us.

I am eager to start a new school year and I look forward to working with you and your child as One Team, with One Goal, and No Limits!

    Thank you!

    Ms. Webster
