Welcome To Athletics
Pasadena Unified School District athletics have a tradition of excellence. Our student-athletes compete in 30 sports.
PUSD Athletics consists of competitive CIF-sanctioned teams at four comprehensive high schools: Blair, John Muir, Marshall Fundamental, and Pasadena High School.
PUSD high schools participate in the CIF Southern Section’s Rio Hondo League (Blair), Mission Valley League (Marshall), and Pacific League (Muir & Pasadena).
We pride ourselves on the philosophy that our athletes are students first and that participation in athletics improves the student experience and builds a foundation for excellence in all areas of life. Our experienced coaches encourage the development of their players as hard workers, team players, and respectful individuals.
The PUSD Athletic Department believes that athletic participation improves our students’ lives by providing the foundation for academic excellence and the development of responsible habits and positive attitudes that prepare student-athletes for a changing world.
We are committed to improving our athletics programs on all campuses to stay true to the tradition of athletic excellence at PUSD.
To support athletic excellence, PUSD has invested in new and newly-renovated gymnasiums, football, baseball, softball, and soccer fields, swimming pools, tennis courts, and more. A partnership with Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles puts a full-time trainer at each high school to support safe and healthy athletic development.
We support all student-athletes including those who participate in more than one sport and/or extra-curricular activity. We encourage students to strive for a diverse high school experience and take advantage of all PUSD has to offer.
On behalf of the entire PUSD athletic family, thank you for your participation and support as we continue our great athletic tradition.
