Madison Elementary City/School Joint Use Agreement

  • The intent of the agreement is to outline details on how the school site will function as a neighborhood park during specified non-school hours for activities as outlined in the Agreement:

    • Use of Playground Equipment
    • Casual Picnics
    • Walking and Jogging and other Healthy Outdoor Activities
    • Pick-up Games

    Organized sports, team practices and events are required to go through the School District's Civic Center Permit Process. To obtain a Civic Center Permit, you may apply online here.


    Use Schedule

    During Academic Year

    • Monday-Friday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Saturdays, Sundays and School Holidays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    During Summer Vacation

    • Monday-Friday 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Saturdays, Sundays and School Holidays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Reporting a Concern or Violation

    Any violations of park use occurring during the time designated for neighborhood park use (including organized sports play) should be reported immediately to the City Parks Security Office at (626) 744-4241 for a response.


    Moving People to Play

    The Pasadena Unified School District is pleased to collaborate with the City of Pasadena and other organizations in providing joint/shared-use opportunities that move people to play and promote better health outcomes for students and families.
