  • Jefferson Elementary serves a diverse student population from the Pasadena community. The student body currently consists of 400 students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. In addition, the Children's Center offers an early start to approximately 80 students. The following profile shows the distribution of students (K - 5) by ethnicity.

    Fourteen regular education teachers, a 50% Curriculum Resource Teacher, a 50% Language Development Resource Teacher, one 50% CEIS Teacher, and a full time RSP Teacher provide services for Jefferson's students. Additional certificated personnel include a part-time school nurse and 1 part-time speech therapists. There are five instructional assistants and one health clerks that work on a part time basis. There is one special education instructional assistant employed part time and two part time noon aides who help monitor and supervise the playground during recess and lunch. A full time Guidance Counselor assists students and staff with discipline matters, character education, and special school events. A clerk typist, office manager, and a community assistant support our front office.   We also have a library coordinator who delivers library services to students and parents 10 hours a week.
