Neurodiversity (SB 939)
California Senate Bill (SB) 939 strengthens anti-bullying protections for neurodiverse students, The law requires schools to update policies, incorporate neurodiversity training into educator anti-bullying programs, and utilize resources from the UC/CSU Collaborative to address the disproportionate bullying and harassment experienced by neurodiverse pupils.The UC|CSU Collaborative, in partnership with the California Department of Education, is developing age-appropriate, research-based training videos and resources for TK–12 schools to address these challenges which will be available in the spring.

The Pasadena Unified School District is committed to the educational success of all students. The Special Education Department provides services and supports for students with disabilities who are enrolled in our Early Start (infant) program through school age and beyond, such as within our Adult Transition and WorkAbility programs.
