California Association for the Gifted

California Association for the Gifted (CAG) is an organization of educators and parents dedicated to meeting the unique needs of gifted and talented students. CAG was started in 1966 by a group of educators and parents who wanted to make a difference hi the lives of gifted students. CAG is one of the nation's largest state advocacy groups of its kind, providing its members informational training about the education of gifted and talented students.

 
 

National Association for Gifted Children

The national organization for parents teachers and administrators interested in spreading knowledge and awareness about gifted students and gifted education. Includes giffed-education standards.

 
 

Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG)

Includes many expert-written articles on social and emotional topics and has excellent community forums.

 

Institute for Educational Advancement

In Pasadena, CA, dedicated to nurturing gifted children through personalized, child-centered programs, focusing on supporting gifted youth as whole individuals, addressing their intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs. Offerings include after-school Academy classes and Yunasa summer camps to high school research opportunities at CalTech—are designed to help gifted young people, ages 5-18, grow and lead purposeful, meaningful lives in their own unique ways. 

 

Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development

One of the leading centers in the world in the area of gifted education and talent development. Their mission is to promote enjoyment, engagement, and enthusiasm for learning in teachers and students at all levels of education through high-quality research and outreach on innovative teaching approaches, based on practical applications of over four decades of research.

 

Center for Talent Development

A Northwestern University program that offers a number of online learning opportunities for gifted students of all ages.

 

Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth

The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth identifies and develops the talents of the most advanced K-12 learners worldwide. As part of Johns Hopkins, CTY contributes to the university’s mission by preparing and nurturing the bright young people who will go on to make significant contributions to our world.
