Innovation 2025
 
GATE students at each of our elementary campuses have the opportunity to join the Innovation Club where they work in teams to complete a variety of design challenges. Innovation Clubs take place after school and are provided by classroom teachers or instructors from the Institute for Educational Advancement.
 

Ultimately, participating students will be prepared for the PUSD Innovation Exposition – our district’s innovative alternative to the typical science fair.

The Innovation Exposition is much more than a science fair – it enables students to explore interests and talents by offering five elective categories from which students can choose: Invention, Science Fiction, Environmental Innovation, Engineering (Reverse), and Scientific Inquiry. We are #pusdproud of our Junior Docents. These 7th & 8th grade students from across the district engage in a deep study of the architecture, art, and history of the Gamble House and the Pasadena Museum of History and provide tours through the My Masterpieces program for our 3rd and 4th grade students.
 
They demonstrate all of the aspects of our PUSD graduate profile: they are excellent communicators, collaborators, and creative and critical thinkers and demonstrate professionalism in all that they do. Congratulations!

A Competition and Celebration of Math!

The goal of Math Field Day is to give students an opportunity to celebrate mathematics through an enriched, competitive, and fun event that focuses on building team spirit while challenging students to solve advanced mathematical problems. Students participate in grade-level competitions, play field games, and participate in a parade and an awards ceremony.

Math Field Day will take place on March, 20, 2027.

Gold winning teams will participate in the LACOE Math Field Day competition on April 17, 2027.
