SUN Bucks
In addition to free meals during the school year, students may be eligible for SUN Bucks, California’s Summer EBT program that helps families purchase groceries during the summer months.
Completing the Universal Benefits Application (UBA) for SUN Bucks may qualify your family for additional valuable benefits, including:
- College application fee waivers (CSU, UC, and some private colleges)
- Discounts on utilities and internet services (e.g. AT&T, Spectrum)
- Reduced fees for AP exams, SAT/ACT testing, and more
- After-school program eligibility
- Reduced transportation fees or bus passes
The Universal Benefit Application is available in English and Español. Printed applications can be obtained at your child's school site or at the Food and Nutrition Services Office.
Deadline to submit the Universal Benefits Application: September 2, 2025.
