Sibling and Program Priority
Who can apply?
- Siblings: Siblings of an enrolled PUSD student who live at the same address and will attend the same school/program at the same time
- Program Priority: PUSD students advancing to 6th or 9th grades and continuing in the same program at the next school (IB, magnet, dual language, math academy)

- Apply at pusd.schoolmint.com: Oct. 21, 2025, 9 AM- Nov. 10, 2025, 4 PM
- Results Available Online: by Dec. 4, 2025, 11:59 PM
- Accept school offers by: Dec. 12, 2025, 4 PM
1st Lottery
Who can apply?
- TK students residing in PUSD (Applications are required for all TKs)
- K-12 students residing in PUSD (including former PUSD residents displaced by the Eaton Fire) who wish to request a dual language program or a school other than their neighborhood school
- Continuing PUSD students who wish to transfer from their current lottery school to their neighborhood school for 2026-27
- Children of full-time PUSD & City of Pasadena employees
- Families who missed the sibling/program priority application period

2nd Lottery
Who can apply?
- TK-12 students residing in PUSD who have not yet applied
- Students who live outside of PUSD (interdistrict permit)

- Apply at pusd.schoolmint.com: Jan. 29, 2026, 9 AM- Feb. 19, 2026, 4 PM
- Results Available Online: Mar. 5, 2026 by 11:59 PM
- Accept School Offers by: Mar. 12, 2026
Post-Lottery
Applications continue to be accepted February 20, 2026, through July 31, 2026, for students who have not yet submitted applications and throughout the school year for new-to-PUSD students.
Applicants not offered their 1st choice may remain on waitlists for their preferred choices until July 31, 2026, in case a seat becomes available.
