Career Technical Education (CTE)
Career Technical Education (CTE) courses are defined as “a sequence of courses (which may include technical learning experiences) that provides individuals with the challenging academic and technical knowledge and skills the individuals need to prepare for further education and for careers in emerging and established professions and may lead to technical skill proficiency, a credential, a certificate, or a degree” (Sec. [3][5]). In PUSD, we offer courses in the following industry sectors:
- Engineering and Architecture
- Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation
- Business and Finance
- Marketing, Sales and Service
- Arts, Media, and Entertainment
- Health Science and Medical Technology
- Public Service
- Information and Communication Technologies
