2025 Hadestown

WHAT:  Following the great success of Into the Woods, the first PUSD All Star Musical in 2023, the PUSD Arts & Enrichment Office in association with Pasadena Playhouse is back for the second iteration! Pasadena Unified will present another full-scale production of a major Broadway musical, Hadestown (Teen Edition). Once again, students will be on stage in all the leading and supporting roles, in the chorus and orchestra, and behind the scenes as the stage crew, and designing and building the sets, props, and costumes. This unique production will feature the visual and performing arts contributions of over 200 PUSD students, and will be enjoyed by approximately 6000 student and community audience members.

WHERE: A total of four performances for PUSD students and the public will take place at the Gladiss Edwards Auditorium at Pasadena High School. Set, costume and prop design will be developed at the Muir Mustang Design Lab. Set construction and all rehearsals will be at Pasadena High School.

WHEN: Rehearsals and classes will take place after school, with workshops with industry professionals embedded in drama and theatre tech classes during the school day. Auditions will take place November 5 & 7. Rehearsals and pre-production will continue through January 2025, culminating in four performances January 29 - Feb 1, 2025.
