    Blair High School’s Co-Valedictorian, Anna Griffin has been a Pasadena Unified School District student since she began her school career. She attended Norma Combs from Kindergarten through 5th grade. She became a Viking in 6th grade and continued to amaze her teachers and peers throughout her tenure there. Anna is a true scholar, graduating as one of a prestigious group of full International Baccalaureate students. She also received the seal of Biliteracy Award, was a member of the National Honor Society, and a recipient of the California Gold Seal. She was the recipient of many scholarships and awards including, the Outstanding Senior for International Baccalaureate (IB), The IB Open Minded Award, The Joyce Davis Scholarship, The Pasadena Foothills Association of Realtors Scholarship, and The PTSA Scholarship. She was accepted at North Park University, Westmont College, UC Santa Cruz, UC San Diego, and Point Loma University. She has committed to attend Point Loma University and plans to major in Psychology with a minor in Public Policy. After college, Anna plans to attend graduate school to become a clinical psychologist. Not only has Anna played an integral role in our Blair community, but she has also dedicated herself to her church, The Mountainside Communion Church, where she served on the leadership board and was a leader in the children’s 3 - 5 year-old program. Anna was also the captain of the waterpolo team, a member of the swim team, and a member of Advanced Band. We wish her all the best in her college career and look forward to all the positive changes she will make in our community.

  • Ai Takada, Valedictorian
  • Co-Valedictorian: Ai Takada

    Blair High School’s Co-Valedictorian, Ai Takada, immigrated to Pasadena with her family from Japan when she was six years old. Ai enrolled at Roosevelt Elementary School before becoming a Viking in the sixth grade. During her time at Blair, Ai was involved with the National Honor Society where she had the opportunity to participate in several community service events throughout Pasadena. In addition she was also the team captain for the Girl’s Tennis Team where she won 80% of her matches and defeated every #1 singles players in the Rio Hondo League. Her tennis coach, Jaime Craig, describes her abilities on the tennis courts as “a battle tested warrior who refused to lose.” As a Full IB Diploma Candidate Ai took Blair High School’s most rigorous academic program. She was awarded the IB Profile Learner Award for Thinker, the California Gold Seal Award, the Seal of Biliteracy, the Viking Award for School and Community Service, and is currently a finalist for the Always Up Scholarship. Ai was accepted into UCSB, UCSD, UCI, CSU Long Beach, CSU Los Angeles, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and UCLA. She has committed to UCLA and will be majoring in Pre-Human Biology and Society and hopes to one day join the medical field as either a nurse, veterinarian, or doctor. We look forward to all of her amazing future endeavors.

    The Blair High School Salutatorian is Nicholas Rajha. Nicholas transferred to Blair as a senior and successfully integrated into the International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement curriculum. He is driven to excel academically, pushing himself to achieve at the highest level. He received the Association of Pasadena Administrators Scholarship, the Most Improved Math Award, the California Gold Seal Award, the IB Learner Profile Knowledgeable Award, and the Seal of Biliteracy. He was the Captain of the Boys Varsity Basketball team and proved himself as a team leader. He received many college acceptances, and is planning on attending the University of California, Santa Barbara. We wish him all the best. Go Vikings!
