• PUSD All Star Band in the Pasadena Rose Parade for the First Time in 17 Years!
  • The Pasadena Unified All Star Band is composed of 47 band members, 12 color guard and 12 dancers, and they are thrilled to perform in the 2022 Rose Parade! Each All Star Band member was selected from hundreds of high school music students for their expertise and showmanship skills. 

    Under the masterful direction of Daniel Adams and award-winning Music Specialist Karen Klages, the All Star Band is literally marching into the history books.  Many of these talented young artists were not even born the last time the District was represented at the Rose Parade because it has been 17 years. They say it’s the opportunity of a lifetime.

    PUSD Arts and Enrichment Coordinator Karen Anderson says participating in the Rose Parade shows that we care about our students, we believe in them and we honor public schools in Pasadena. It truly represents a celebration of public education in our community. This band is a reflection of the values of our PUSD music students: collaboration, creativity, and commitment in everything we do.
