• October is National Bullying Prevention Month!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month! To honor this month and bring awareness to Bullying Prevention, PUSD will be participating in two events. The first is Unity Day, which takes place on October 20th. The second is a district-wide student poster contest.

We are excited to share that our school community will be celebrating Unity Day on October 20, 2021 this year. Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance of difference, and inclusion. This will be PUSD’s third year in a row participating in Unity Day. On October 20, plan for your school to wear ORANGE to show their support of bullying prevention. Secondly, PUSD will be holding its second annual district-wide Bullying Prevention Month Student Poster Contest. The purpose of this contest is to promote student voices against bullying. The theme/slogan is We Stand Together Against Bullying! Please encourage your students to submit posters to CWA for the contest. Three winners (and three runner-ups) will be announced on November 5th. There will be one winner and one runner-up for Elementary, Middle, and High school. Winning posters will be displayed on social media (@PUSDAttendance), the district website, and the PUSD Educational Center. Students have until October 29th to submit a poster. See below for contest rules.
