
Jennifer Hall Lee was elected to the PUSD Board in 2020.
She served for three terms on the Altadena Town Council from 2014-2020 including serving as treasurer on the Executive Committee. While on the council she re-established the Altadena Town Council Education Committee to introduce PUSD schools in Altadena to residents. The committee members held regular town hall-style meetings where residents could speak with principals, teachers and parents. They also created flyers highlighting all PUSD schools in Altadena and distributed them to local preschools and realtors.
Jennifer was asked to chair the first Eliot Arts Magnet Academy annual fund where she initiated the creation of public events so all people could step inside the school. Together with the committee Jennifer launched the Eliot auction, the Eliot Speaker Series, and more. In 2017 Jennifer and the Eliot Principal created the yearly Women's History Month Assembly which is a middle school collaborative. Congresswoman Judy Chu has been a keynote and guest speaker.
Jennifer is a writer whose work has appeared in local newspapers. She has worked on feature films in visual effects as an editor and was a member of Local 700 and IATSE Local 16. She has produced her own independent documentary films.
She and her husband have lived in Altadena since 2005 and their daughter attends Blair High School. Jennifer is a Girl Scout co-leader and is a member of the National Women’s Political Caucus of Greater Pasadena and the League of Women Voters - Pasadena Area. She was educated in Atlanta, Georgia public schools and has a BA from Hampshire College in Massachusetts.
