Blair High School serves both middle school and senior high, grades six through twelve. In Blair's over 50 years of existence, the school has maintained an unwavering commitment to providing students with a firm, wide-ranging academic foundation on which to build a successful future.
Blair is a fully authorized International Baccalaureate World School, offering:
- The Middle Years Programme (6th-10th grades, includes all students)
- The Diploma Programme (11th & 12th grades)
- The Career-related Programme (11th & 12th grades, in the Health Careers Academy)
The IB Middle Years Programme is a program of international education designed to help students develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills necessary to participate actively and responsibly in a changing world. Personal and class-wide projects are required, along with community service. Students develop the qualities of an IB learner: to be reflective, caring, knowledgeable, open-minded, balanced and principled, and to be a risk taker, inquirer, communicator and thinker. Although the MYP curriculum is challenging, it is meant for ALL students. Every student in grades 6-10 participates. Our educators realize there are a variety of learners and it is our goal to teach to each type of learner. The MYP focuses on implementing the best practices of teaching and this will help us include all students. Another focus of the MYP is helping students determine how they learn so they can develop study methods most effective for them.
The IB Diploma Programme is a challenging and extremely rewarding two-year curriculum that leads to a qualification widely recognized and respected by the world's leading universities. Students may choose to take individual IB courses and earn certificates, or complete the full program. Students gain thinking skills, a global perspective, college writing and research experience, and more. Students learn more than a collection of facts, but ask challenging questions, learn how to learn, develop a strong sense of their own identity and culture, and develop the ability to communicate with and understand people from other countries and cultures. In addition to six subjects across subject groups, students complete an Extended Essay, a Theory of Knowledge course and complete a creativity, action and service project of at least 150 hours.
Blair also includes:
Health Careers Academy, an award-winning, and oldest, college and career pathway in the district. Health Academy students may also complete the IB Career-related Programme, blending the IB approach with a health careers focus and IB courses.

Blair offers all three IB secondary programs, and is the only school public or private in the district boundaries to offer these. Blair's students come from throughout the school district and also nearby areas.
