I am Melessa Hamilton, a candidate for the Master’s of Art in Teaching Degree with Multiple Subject Credential.  I am scheduled to graduate from the University of Southern California in Spring 2021 and I will be student teaching with the third graders 2020-2021 school year.  I am married with 3 children, one of those children currently attend Hamilton Elementary.  

I have enjoyed working with children for over a decade.  It all started when I was in undergraduate school, when I would tutor kids who struggled in certain subjects. I am transitioning off of a 15 plus year career in Marketing, now moving to Education, and I couldn’t be more excited. The love of working with kids never left me, so I'm excited to take the leap.  In my spare time, I’ve mentored troubled youth and worked with kids in faith based organizations, all because I received this unimaginable thrill of watching youth succeed.  I’ve seen it for myself, when you provide a student with the right resources and get them to believe in themself, they will run with it and become successful.  I am excited about the opportunities which lie ahead at Hamilton Elementary.  See you this Fall!
