2020-2021 School Year Meals
PUSD’s Food & Nutrition Services has served more than 2.98 million meals since March 2020, when schools closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through heat, rain, and smoke, we made sure that our students and their families had essential meals. We’re proud to serve you!
As schools begin to reopen, we are committed to making the transition easier for students and their families. Whether you’re staying in distance learning or returning to campus, nutritious Grab & Go meals will be offered every weekday that school is in session.
- In-person learning students: At dismissal, each student takes home Grab & Go meals
- Distance learning students: Curbside pickup at Grab & Go Food Center locations.
Each Grab & Go contains 3 nutritious meals: lunch, supper, and breakfast for the next day. Meals must be eaten off campus.
Grab & Go Food Centers
Anyone 18 years of age or younger is eligible for free meals. Children do not need to be enrolled in PUSD schools to receive a meal. No pre-registration required.

* John Muir High and Blair High 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (once school opens the time will change to 9-11 am)
* Marshall Fundamental 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. (once school opens the time will change to 9 am - 11 am)

Please stay in your car and meals will be passed to you. Meals must be eaten off-campus.

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT benefits. For more information, visit: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/home/pandemic-ebt
P-EBT benefits help families in California buy food when schools are closed because of the coronavirus emergency. Families will get up to $365 per eligible child on their P-EBT card to use on food and groceries. Families with children who get CalFresh, Medi-Cal or Foster Care benefits do not need to apply.
Families with children who are eligible for Free or Reduced-Price meals and have not yet received a P-EBT card in the mail, can now apply for P-EBT benefits online at http://www.ca.p-ebt.org/.
Community Eligibility Program
All PUSD schools have been approved for the 2020-2021 Community Eligibility Program (CEP), a universal meal service option included in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. All PUSD schools will participate in the CEP program and will be offering meals each day at no charge for all students enrolled during the 2020-2021 School Year.
