    This is your Principal, Ms. Touloumian, with your weekly announcements:

    Students:
    African American History Day and Math Field Day are coming soon! If you are interested in signing up for either or both events, please see Dr. Peters in Room 123. She will connect you with our team advisers for each event.  
    Reminders: Please be on time, in dress code, and bring your fully charged Chromebook to school every day. Also, cell phones must be turned off and put away during school hours.  

    Parents/Guardians:
    Reminder: 8th Grade Packages are on sale now for $110. Purchase your package by Feb. 15th, before the price goes up. Please contact Ms. Felicia Lee for more information. 

    Activities/Events this week:
    Hairspray Rehearsals are on Tues., Jan. 22nd, from 2:45 - 4:00 pm, in the auditorium

    PCC tutoring program continues on Mon. and Weds., for 1 hour, after school, in the library. For more information and registration, please contact Ms. Koors. koors.carolyn@pusd.us  
    Ceramics continues after school on Thursdays, from 2:30 - 4:30 pm, in the Ceramics Room  
    Room 13 After School Art Activities are on Tues. and Thurs., from 2:30 - 4:00 pm, in Room 106. 
    Harmony Orchestra Practice is on Thurs., from 2:30- 3:45 pm, in the band room. 
    Jazz Band Practice are on Weds., from 2:30 -3:30 pm, in the band room.    

    Reminders/Save the Date:
    Eliot Arts 2nd Annual Science Night is this Friday, January 25th, from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Do not miss this AMAZING event showcasing over 40 science and technology organizations as well as several PUSD schools highlighting their science and technology programs! This event is open to all. We look forward to seeing you there. 
    Eliot Arts Annual Fund is hosting a Mural Tour on February 6th at 5pm! Come out and meet our amazing muralists while being dazzled by their magnificent artwork.  
    All District Music Festival is on Weds., Feb. 6th, 7pm, at PHS. Eliot Orchestra and Band will be performing. 
    Black History Parade is on Sat. Feb. 16th, 10am. Come out and support our marching band who will be performing.  

    Congratulations/Thank You:
    Congratulations to our students Maylina and Natalie who won the PUSD Dr. Martin Luther King Art Competition! Way to Go Huskies! Special thanks to Mr. Moya for your tremendous work with our students.
    Congratulations to our student Lauren who received the ACSA Every Student Succeeding Award! We are very proud of you! Your perseverance and drive is an inspiration to all.
