Voting in the election is limited to currently-employed classified employees of the Pasadena Unified School District. Two forms of identification are required; one must be a photo identification.
At a desk inside the Board Room, PUSD staff members will verify the identity of voters and disseminate ballots. The District has invited the League of Women Voters to assign rotating representatives to observe the process. Only those seeking to vote will be allowed into the Board Room.
Electioneering is not permitted within 100 feet of a polling place. Electioneering is defined by the California Election Code Section 319.5 as
“the visible display or audible dissemination of information that advocates for or against any candidate or measure on the ballot within 100 feet of a polling place, an elections official’s office, or a satellite location.”
In addition, “no person, on Election Day, shall, within 100 feet of a polling place… Solicit a vote or speak to a voter on the subject of marking his ballot.” California Elections Code Section 18370 defines “100 feet of the polling place” as meaning a “distance of 100 feet from the room or rooms in which voters are signing the roster and casting ballots.”
This includes, but is not limited to: Display of a ballot measure number or title, buttons, shirts, signs, stickers, and the dissemination of audible electioneering information. The “No Electioneering” signs will be posted to notify observers of the 100 foot mark.

Who can vote in this election?
Any current classified employee of the Pasadena Unified School District may vote. You must be employed by PUSD at the time of the election. Certificated employees, retirees, and former employees are not eligible.
What do I need to bring with me to vote?
Two forms of identification are required to vote; one must be a photo identification. Your identity will be checked against a list of current PUSD classified employees.
Do I need to live within PUSD to vote?
No. You must be currently employed as a classified employee of PUSD to vote in the Sept. 20, 2018 election, no matter where you live.

The Board of Education has partnered with the League of Women Voters to host a public forum on September 11, 2018, from 5:30 - 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Pasadena High School, 2925 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Pasadena. The League of Women Voters will moderate a discussion among panelists speaking in favor and in opposition to the measure. Flyer
