    John Muir High High School will be celebrating Engineering Week this year from February 13 th
    through 16th, 2018!!   The Engineering and Environmental Science Academy (EESA) Advisory
    Board is again planning an exciting number of events to celebrate and showcase the profession!

    One of the highlights of Engineering Week at John Muir HS is our Career Exploration
    Showcase.  Several hundred EESA students are able to speak to over a dozen local businesses
    and organizations about the wide range of career opportunities available for students with
    Engineering and STEM degrees.  Businesses already committed to participate include:
    Northrop Grumman, Pankow Builders, Parsons, TetraTech, and the US Forest Service.
    Career orientation events are extremely helpful to our EESA students in expanding their
    horizons of professional opportunities and inspiring them in their pursuit of science and
    engineering careers. But we need business partners to participate! Please see details below.

    When:  Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 11:00AM until 3:00PM
    Where: Library at John Muir High School,
    Who:    One or two people from your organization with knowledge of engineering and STEM careers.

    What to bring: Table Cloth; Table Top Display (Illustration or Demonstration, if available);

    Handouts (students love little give aways – pens, etc.)
    Lunch will be provided and their will be opportunity to network with other business

    Please let us know by Friday, February 2, 2018 that you will be able to support this excellent
    opportunity to showcase your organization and support EESA students!

    IF you are not able to participate in the Career Exploration Showcase, please note that there will
    be plenty of other opportunities to support an exciting Engineering Week at John Muir HS
    suchas reviewing resumes, participating in mock interviews and/or coaching students with
    senior projects or a reverse engineering project.
