The Great Kindness Challenge! Week 2019
The Office of Child Welfare, Attendance, and Safety is very excited to announce that Pasadena Unified School District will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge! January 27th to February 1st! This is a nation-wide initiative to combat bullying and promote a climate of kindness at school. During this week-long kindness initiative, students are provided a checklist of 50 kind acts. The challenge is to finish all 50 kind acts before the end of the week. Using the Checklist students - kindergarten through high school - take the challenge and prove that bullying is weak and kindness is strength! This is the 2nd consecutive year PUSD schools will be participating in this amazing initiative!
The Great Kindness Challenge was created by Kids for Peace to provide schools a tool for creating a positive school environment. In 2017, 10,493,866 students participated and performed over half a billion acts of kindness nationwide. The Great Kindness Challenge is generously sponsored by Dignity Health, Peaceable Kingdom, ViaSat, Nordson, NRG, McGraw-Hill Education and supported by Hasbro’s Be Fearless Be Kind.
