Tdap Vaccination Now RequiredStudents must have the Pertussis (Whooping Cough) vaccination called Tdap before entering 7th grade.
Please Note: Pertussis is widespread. If your child 10 years and older has not yet received the ‘Tdap’ pertussis booster shot, please contact your doctor or health department. Getting a booster shot now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meets a new school requirement that began in the 2011-12 school year (California law - Assembly Bill 354).
Adults are also advised to get a pertussis booster shot, if they haven’t already, to protect themselves, their families, and their students.
Blair's Attendance Zone Changed As Of 2015 School YearCurrent Blair students are not affected, but the area of PUSD assigned to Blair was drastically changed in 2015.
If you are outside the Blair boundaries, new Blair students have to complete the Open Enrollment process.
The red zone in the PUSD map shows the area NO LONGER assigned to Blair.
Reminder: Open Enrollment is not necessary for students already at Blair. This includes if you attend Blair on an Open Enrollment permit already, or started attending Blair without needing a permit before boundaries changed.
The school board adopted new attendance zones for PUSD schools in 2015, and the redrawn map substantially shrunk Blair's attendance area. New students wishing to attend Blair should doublecheck if they will need an Open Enrollment permit or not. Look up your address to see your assigned schools in the updated boundaries here. PUSD high school boundaries are shown here, and are not quite the same as Blair's middle school boundaries.
