    No, you do not have to choose your childs home school preschool. All preschool classes are available for enrollment to all families. Some preschool classes fill up fast and have waitlists that give priority to families.

    *Preschool does not guarantee placement in the Elementary School for Kindergarten. It is the parents' responsiblity to follow the district procedure for the school application process.

  • Does my child need to be immunized to attend preschool?

    All students need to be up to date with their immunizations in order to enroll into our program. Students need to have a current TB test and physical as well before enrolling.

  • Can my child attend only 2 or 3 days a week?

    All students must attend our preschool half day program 5 days a week. Our preschool childrens centers offer variable schedules for those parents that work or attend school.

    Every preschool class is served a meal or multiple meals through the Pasadena Unified Food Program. There is no FEE for the food program, but each household must complete a food program application.

    Our preschool program does not have a mandatory uniform policy. Many schools in Pasadena Unified have uniform policies, you may participate but it is not mandatory.

    Preschool enrollment occurs through out the whole year. If your child is age eligible you may enroll your child at any time.

    Currently we only offer extended care for our Field Mandarin full day program. If you need full day care we have full day preschool Children Centers for parents that work or go to school.

  • Can my child attend both A.M. and P.M. preschool classes?

    You are only able to enroll into one session of preschool AM. or PM., you are not allowed to enroll into both. If you need full day care we have children centers that provide full day preschool for working parents and parents attending school.

  • How old does my child have to be to attend preschool?

    In order for your child to be eligible to attend preschool for the school year, they need to be the age of 3 prior to December 1st.
