What Is PUSD’s Family Resource Center?
Education is a journey for both the child and the parents or adult caregivers. When families take part in their child's education programs, children do better in school.
PUSD’s Family Resource Center is a place, both physically and virtually, where you can get information on educating and supporting your child. We are a place where you can get ideas about how to work with your child's teacher, volunteer in the classroom, and support your child's learning at home. The Family Resource Center empowers families and cares for students by offering connections to resources & resource partners. Our Family Resource Center will:
- Make you feel welcome. We want to partner with you to support your child's learning.
- Provide information. We share important information about your child's education and social/emotional growth by collaborating with PUSD departments, PUSD schools, and the local community.
- Offer workshops and other courses. We offer workshops on a variety of topics, from parenting tips to homework help to graduation requirements, through our Parent University.
- Support families by making many services accessible. We work with other agencies in the community to improve children's growth and learning and to help families thrive.
