To keep students safe both on campus, and as they travel to and from school, the Pasadena Unified School District has partnered with the City of Pasadena to train campus security personnel, and to provide dedicated officers at secondary campuses.  

The Pasadena Safe Schools Team, composed of members of the Pasadena Police Department, now provides policing services to all the Pasadena schools located within PUSD. The Safe Schools Team is fully funded by the City of Pasadena including salaries, equipment, vehicles and supplies, which frees up PUSD funds for core educational purposes.
