Ms. Palmer
My name is Laura Palmer. I am a 4th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher. I began teaching in 2005 and joined the faculty at SME in 2009.
Hobbies: sailing, traveling, reading, trivia

- volunteered in Kenya doing marine research for a summer
- I love eating Ms. Ogtanyan’s delicious, homemade food

- 2016 PUSD Teacher of the Year
- 2016 LA County Teacher of the Year
My favorite part about teaching at SME? THE STUDENTS and their families! I love that SME is a community and it is fun also living in the town with my students and their families. I love team teaching, especially with Ms. Ogtanyan, and the great collaboration at SME.
