Dress Code Policy

    • Shirts - the only acceptable "tops are:
      • Full cut t-shirts, polo shirts, blouse and turtlenecks.
      • NO shirts/tank tops with straps narrower than two inches.
      • NO see-through blouses.
      • No halter tops, spaghetti straps. No midriffs showing, etc.
      • No profanity or inappropriate graphics.
    • Pants/skirts- the only acceptable "bottoms" are:
      • Shorts, skirts or dresses must be closer to the knee than to the buttocks.
      • Hem of the garment should touch the fingertips of the student.
      • NO excessively baggy pants must be up over the buttocks - must not reveal underwear or skin at the waist.
    • Shoes
      • Those that have no more elevation than a typical tennis shoe.
      • Secured around the ankle in some way - tie, buckle, strap, etc.
      • NO open toe shoe - sandals, flip flops, etc.
    • Jackets or sweaters
      • Jackets or sweaters with hoods are allowed, however the hoods are not allowed to be worn on school grounds unless it is raining.
      • NO profanity or inappropriate graphics.
    • The following items of clothing/accessories are NOT ACCEPTABLE:
      • Hats, beanies or bandanas.
      • Excessively large jewelry such as earrings, chains and bracelets.
      • Torn clothing of any kind.
      • Visible underwear or skin at the waist or midriff.
      • Gang affiliation colors, accessories or clothing.
      • Profanity or inappropriate graphics.

    This dress policy is in keeping with the PUSD dress policy guidelines. Please know Wilson is committed to the adherence of this dress policy. Documentation in discipline files for students out of dress code may affect their ability to participate in school activities.
