I am very excited about being able to serve at Blair High School! As someone that grew up in the area, it is an honor to be able to serve the community that I love. I became an educator because I believe that education is the key to opportunities in life. I prepared for my career by receiving my BA and MA in History from the University of California, Irvine. I also received my Teaching credential, Administrative Services credential, and an MA in Teaching from the University of Southern California. Over the past years, I have served as a teacher as well as administrator at various schools. My favorite part about being in education is that I am able to have a positive influence on others. I believe that by setting high expectations and removing barriers in education, every student is capable of success. I enjoy collaborating with other educators in making learning more engaging and relevant for students. In addition to being an assistant principal, I am also a husband, musician, and amateur magician. I enjoy playing basketball, taking road trips, and hiking. I see myself as a perpetual learner in the sense that I am always exploring new knowledge and interests.
