Our department is dedicated in offering a High-Quality Child Development Programs by providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, creative, linguistic, and cognitive development of each child through developmentally and culturally appropriate practices while responding to the needs of the child and his or her family.
The Child Development Department of the Pasadena Unified School District serves children ages 3 through 11. Our program offers Full Day Preschool, Part Day Preschool and Before and After School Care for families who may qualify for State Subsidized funding.
Children ages 3 to 5 years can receive services within 20 different school locations across the District. Children must be 3 years by September 1st of the enrolling school year in order to enroll in a preschool program.
Children in Kinder through 5th grade can be enrolled in our Before and After school Care programs offered at Jefferson and Longfellow Children’s Centers.
Care is also available for School Age children during Spring, Winter and Summer break.
Families who are not income eligible may also be able to obtain services for a low monthly fee rate. Please call the office for additional information.
