California Feeds the nation and PUSD Students!

  • We are very fortunate to live in California!  California’s agricultural abundance includes more than 400 commodities. Over a third of the country’s vegetables and two-thirds of the country’s fruits and nuts are grown in California. 

    Pasadena Unified School District has made a commitment to sourcing locally grown fruits and vegetables.

    In addition to sourcing locally grown fruits and vegetables from CA sources, we feature a Farm to School and Harvest of the Month produce item each month.

    But the program we are proudest of is our Micro Purchase program. Using this program, we have been able to include produce in our lunch lines grown in Pasadena Unified SD gardens!!!
