Academics
In the Imagination Lab, you can build what your mind creates.
Based on the California Environmental Principals and Concepts and coupled with the California Social Studies State Standards, history, ethics, geography, economy, and social engagement transform from the textbook to engaging collaborative, real-world, multi-dimensional projects.
Innovation Tech Lab
You never know what you will envision in the Innovation Technology Lab.
With 35 new iMac desktop computers, 3-D printing, Vex, Lego, and Gizzmoto robotics, students learn through play.
While learning computer science concepts and programming, students:
- Design and program games
- Build/program robots
- Create 3D designs
- Learn video and sound production through storyboards, animations, and short films.
Mathematic Lab
Math creativity soars in the Mathematics Lab!
In the math lab, students participate in fun-filled activities designed to develop fundamental math skills. The activities are often collaborative challenges/puzzles requiring patterns and strategies to analyze situations and solve problems.
STEM Lab
Science and engineering instruction come alive in the STEM Lab.
Based on problem-solving and investigation, the STEM Lab brings the hands-on aspect of all science instruction. Lessons are developed to integrate into WESM’s overall Magnet Environmental Studies units.
World Language
World Language - where the language is taught through the culture!
During weekly visits to World Language, students develop fluency and communication skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Spanish while investigating Spanish cultures worldwide.
