Read...it is exercise for the brain!
Why is reading important?
Reading is important because it unlocks opportunity for all youngsters and adults alike to become knowledgeable about the world around them. However, let’s step back up for a minute. When our children are truly given ample exposure to reading, singing, and talking from a literature foundation early in their life, children will become more likely to read more thoroughly and with enjoyment. It is critical that our youngest learners be given the gift of loving to read.
Many of our teachers have already begun the challenge of seeing our children love to read through book commercials, identifying their reading abilities and then setting them on their way with interesting and appropriate material. It is vital that we invest in this productive endeavor as every minute counts, and our children deserve our devotion to their future. I urge all of us to teach the love of reading as if the floor is on fire, and make every effort to have a book in a child’s hand at all times. It is a key that unlocks hope, knowledge and a sense of comfort and freedom.
Now get reading!
